What’s the difference between regular core exercises and Hypopressives?

PART1️⃣

Hypopressive core exercises are performed under significantly REDUCED pressure within the abdominal, thoracic and pelvic cavities (also known as intra-abdominal pressure).

Traditional core exercises (along with pretty much every other activity you know, including walking and talking) cause an INCREASE in intra-abdominal pressure.

If you are unable to MANAGE the pressure that you are creating from the activity you are doing, the pressure will find the path of least resistance. This will either present as outward pressure against the abdominal wall and connective tissue, or downward pressure on the pelvic organs and musculature.

Hypopressives are extremely unique in this sense. This makes Hypopressives a sensible choice for people who struggle with controlling pressure, or have an increased risk of injury to pressurised exercises. Such as, but not limited to: back injuries, history of hernias, pelvic floor dysfunction and prolapse, those with poor core control, diastasis recti, poor breathing mechanics.
